The Ephemeralia Series is a circus trick, a body mirrored. I took a slightly different approach with this one. I’d been using a grid in my Dysphagia Series but the tape was always applied to the first layer of the painting. I used some black gessoe to make a checkerboard, re-gessoed with white a used that as the base for Ephemeralia No.7. My friend Crystal Zingsheim modeled for this piece.
