"My work explores the connection between the artist and the model, the energy exchanged between the two. Rachel was a model who was going to school in Portland in 2007. I met her at a drop-in session at Hipbone Studio and ask her to sit for me. We worked together over the course of several weeks, talking about Baltimore, Fell’s Point and Bertha’s Muscles and creating many paintings. This is my favorite of those sessions.
