"My work explores the connection between the artist and the model, the energy exchanged between the two. This series grew from a session with Stephanie Landers. We had been working together for a couple of days and had exhausted the usual figure poses. I stopped painting and began to focus on energy instead of form. Something raw and ambiguous emerged.
