Here’s an oil sketch from a session with Emily. Runs and drips have been favorites of mine since I saw a painting in the High in Atlanta. The whole thing was done in very thin oil, a joy to view. I love the unpredictability of it all. What’s great in the beginning can run completely off the page, what looks dull can gain a life of it’s own. It’s the joy of painting.
