These are my sketches from last Sunday’s drawing session at The Rivoli with our model Summer. She did a fantastic job and was very popular wit the group. It was very hot in the studio that day, it felt like a steam bath. I can’t wait to move to Townsend Atelier in July. These are from my sketchbook, made with Micron pens.

The Last Open Session at The Rivoli

I started an open drawing session at the Rivoli Art Mill in January of this year with the help of my friend Charles Niznik Clendenin and our model April. It was a joy and a chore at times., keeping the model(s) warm in this old factory and at the end of it keeping them cool.

The session has reached it’s end in the mill and will pick up again in another location. Thanks to my regulars, Stan and Bradley and April, and everyone else who modeled or participated in the sessions.

These are pages from my sketch books, done since 2006. Most use pens, the earliest are ballpoint. I switched to Micron in 2007 and I am using Zig Millenniums at the moment. I like the .005 for it’s fine lines.
