It's about emotional response, tactile, visceral, abstract, created with a limited color palette, leaving the brush strokes and drips raw and unrefined. The Ephemeralia Series is a circus trick, a body mirrored. I took a slightly different approach with this one. I’d been using a grid in my Dysphagia Series but the tape was always applied to the first layer of the painting.
